We all sometimes hear somewhat voice guiding us towards right direction and helping us result in the right decision. No need to concern yourself with that little voice inside of you, you’re nor bipolar or have a very multiple personality disorder. That little voice is ESSENTIAL for you. Overall, this little voice of WISDOM will be here to lead your self on a path of self-discovery and appreciation of the items life is really. Don’t confuse it with the logical voice, which is the engineered to be confusing with external factors surrounding you, including and not limited by: negative people, failures, sickness, financial strains, etc..
But more than that, if adolescents affirm their selves, these are affirming their body, mind and spirit. And there is nothing better for adolescents to get all around health and well-being. Not only that, if adolescents instill such positive habits throughout their teen years, they shall be in a position to reap the benefits of such a confident attitude through out their lives. Here are a few advantages of practising positive self-affirmation.
Let me illustrate from my personal experience. I am a relatively recent runner training for my first half-marathon. I use a combination of strategies to assist me with my stamina and speed. One of these is Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT in short. It involves stimulating certain acupressure points whilst repeating a specific releasing phrase. There are two ways of doing EFT whilst running. One is by emphasizing releasing negatives, along with the other is simply by releasing the negative combined with installing the positive. It is the latter that leds itself wonderfully to cheer-leading. The points that I stimulate whilst running can be found on the one hand from the thumb, forefinger, middle finger, and baby finger. I usually rub or tap the thumb point with either the forefinger or middle finger points whilst saying my cheer. For the cheering statement itself, I use whatever concerns me and hone it down to a much better form as I rub or tap the points. The rubbing or tapping itself helps to inspire me in forming perfect ditties.
So, where your affirmation once went something similar to; Ahhh, I am never going to have the ability to pay those bills; you will now affirm to yourself, I have lots of money it really is me. Notice how our new affirmation is incorporated in the present tense – I already have the cash – which is also in a very positive phrase. But most importantly, take into consideration how you will feel when you are aware which you have enough money to pay whatever you decide and need. Will you feel excited or happy? Maybe, but you are also likely to feel safe, secure, satisfied and comfortable. These are the kinds of feelings you’ll have in the event you continually had enough money to cover all your bills.
Practice as it were… Allow yourself to think negatively first minute, find a flaw in yourself making it your focus. As you make this happen, notice the slight shifts that begin to occur. Intensify this thought just for a moment. Notice because the unpleasant sensation within your body grows…
